Policies & Procedures

How the repair process works.

Your Right to Choose a Repair Shop

Under Pennsylvania law, you have the right to choose any licensed repair facility you prefer. Your insurance company may recommend a shop, but you are never required to use it. Penn Automotive works with all insurance carriers.

Understanding Your Deductible

Your deductible is the portion of the repair cost you pay directly. For example, if repairs total $2,000 and your deductible is $500, your insurance covers $1,500 and you pay $500. If another driver is at fault, their insurance typically covers the full cost.

The Estimate Process

A preliminary estimate takes about 10 minutes and is always free. We walk around the vehicle with you, identify visible damage, and give you a clear picture of what needs to be done. Additional damage found during disassembly is documented and submitted to your insurance company before any additional work begins.

Rental Cars

If your policy includes rental car coverage, we can coordinate pickup and return through major rental providers so you're not without transportation. Let us know when you schedule your repair and we'll handle the logistics.

Our Warranty

All repairs performed by Penn Automotive come with a lifetime written guarantee on workmanship. This covers the quality of repairs and finish — if something isn't right, we fix it at no charge to you.

Keeping You Informed

We communicate throughout the repair process by phone or email, whichever you prefer. We'll let you know when parts arrive, when work begins, and when your vehicle is ready.
